People really do not know who immigrants are. Immigrants are people who come from another country and go to another country to live. The majority of people think that all immigrants are Mexican. Wrong! All immigrants do not come from Mexico but some they do come from south of the Mexican border. Immigrants to the United States come from all over in the world. Some countries include Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Ecuador, Peru, Honduras, China, the Philippines, and Ethiopia. Immigrants come to the US to have better jobs and better lives. Some immigrants, called refugees, come to the U.S. because they were threatened in their home country so they left before something bad happened. For some immigrants, they had to pay to pay for an education in their country they came to the U.S. where education is free. It does not matter why they came but the stereotypes do. Stop the stereotypes and get your facts straight.
