One thing that we can do to change people’s minds about immigration and immigrants is to educate them about the history of immigration. When we educate people about the history, they can realize that when immigrants come to the U.S. they faced many difficulties in coming. For example, they would pay, around nine thousand dollars to a person called a coyote to take them across the border. When the immigrants get close to the border, they are on their own.  Sometimes immigrants don’t make it to the U.S. So, when they are here they deserve help because they don’t know English. When Americans hear about how much immigrants have been through and how badly they want to be here, they will understand more about them. Also they would start helping many immigrants. You can also send mail to your Congressperson or Senator to say what you think, or send e-mails to organizations to volunteer to help out. You can make a difference!
