1.       What did you expect the U.S to be like before you came?

      I thought it was going to be modern.

2.     Where did you live before you immigrated to the U.S.?

     Honduras

3.     What year/date did you arrive in the United States?

     2004

4.     Did you have family in the U.S before you came?

      No, I did not have any family in the U.S, except for a couple of friends.

5.     Did you immigrate alone, or with family members/ friends?

     I came to America with a friend.

6.     How did you feel upon arriving to the U.S?

     When I came I was happy.

7.     Who helped you get settled when you arrived?

     A friend helped me settle and he had gotten in contact with friend to stay with.

8.     What are your feelings about immigration in our country today?  I do not believe that all immigrants are treated equally.

9.     Do you miss your home country?

      Yes, I miss my country.

10.  How did you find a job?

      I got a job by going to Casa De Maryland’s Wheaton Work Center.

11.   Do you enjoy your job?

      I like going to work.

12.  What had people told you about the U.S before your move? When I came people told me that the U.S was beautiful. 

13.  Were people friendly to you when you arrived?

      People were friendly when I arrived.

14.  Did you feel welcome?

     I felt neutral at being welcomed to the United States of America.
