I came from Bruce-Monroe school and now I go to Cesar Chavez Public Charter School. They both are similar because I have to wear a uniform and they both have the same rules. They are different because the classrooms are not the same and one is bigger than the other. Bruce-Monroe is closer to my house and Cesar Chavez is far away from my house.

When I came to Cesar Chavez I had to make some new friends. I got along with some kids. Some I did not get along with. I would get in to trouble with my math and history teachers because I did not like them at all. I felt that I did not belong in this school. Kids would look at me in different ways.

Some of the difficulties that I faced were that I had to stop saying things to my teachers. I became friends with a lot of people that I did not get along with. They were trying to be my friends and I thought that they did not like me, but they did. I learned from these difficulties was that I should not think badly of other people if I don’t know them and who they are. Looking back, now I feel that I was scared that no one was going to like me because I was the new kid in school. Now I know that I should have an open mind.
